Adagio Teas has recently moved its operations to a new 80,000 square foot warehouse in East Rutherford and is adding new employees to grow its eponymous tea business, while scaling the new categories of coffee (Lardera), spices (Selefina), and honey (Apille).
Adagio was conceived in Fair Lawn in 1999 and had operated in the neighboring towns of Clifton, Garfield, and Elmwood Park. Its recent move to East Rutherford is a continuation of the company’s investment in local facilities and workforce.
Next year, Adagio Teas will hire additional staff to operate its new coffee roasting and packaging lines, comprised of 20 tons silos and 60kg roaster. It will also add new packaging machinery to support the growth of its spice and honey products. Equipment to extract and concentrate tea and coffee is also being purchased to support the company’s foray into liquid concentrates with a Presto line of products.
“We were busting at the seams in our old location,” says Michael Cramer, the company’s CEO. “Our new warehouse is four times the size of the prior one, and avails space to undertake projects that had been stymied for years.”
Adagio Teas is a retailer offering tea, coffee, spices, and honey that are unmatched by products sold locally, direct to consumers online. The recent move to a larger facility affirms Adagio Teas’ dedication to craftsmanship, innovation, and the local economy. Its products and operations continue to enrich the lives of its customers and employees.
