This fall, Adagio Teas is debuting
Chicoriccino, a chicory-based herbal blend designed to offer the warming comfort of coffee without the caffeine crash. Launching in mid-September, Chicoriccino is crafted for coffee drinkers who are transitioning to tea or simply looking to cut back on their caffeine intake without sacrificing flavor or ritual.
Chicory coffee has a rich history, tracing its roots to 19th-century France where chicory root was blended with coffee during shortages. Today, it’s appreciated in its own right for its deep, roasted notes and smooth character. Adagio’s take on this classic drink elevates the tradition with a carefully balanced blend that includes cocoa nibs, cinnamon, and dandelion root, delivering a complex and comforting cup that mimics the mouthfeel and warmth of coffee.
Unlike traditional coffee, Chicoriccino is almost entirely caffeine-free, making it a soothing choice for afternoon sipping or late-night cravings. Its flavor is bold enough to stand on its own, yet gentle enough to pair with milk or sweeteners for a more indulgent experience. Whether enjoyed black or as a frothy latte, it’s an ideal option for those seeking a grounded, autumn-ready ritual.
Adagio Teas developed Chicoriccino in response to growing demand from customers looking for low-caffeine coffee alternatives with a familiar flavor profile. For tea newcomers, it offers an accessible on-ramp. For seasoned tea drinkers, it provides a new way to embrace herbal blends with depth and body.
